Frequently asked
How do I pair with my partner?
On the pairing screen, create an invite code and share it (or the QR / link) with your partner. They enter it on their phone — or just tap your link — and your two devices are connected. From then on your swipes stay in sync.
What’s a “Decide Together” round?
Start a live round and you both swipe at the same time. The first pick you both like wins and pops up on both phones instantly. If your partner starts a round, you’ll get a nudge to jump in and join.
What’s the difference between Staying In and Going Out?
The Decide tab settles what’s for dinner from meal ideas and your own recipes. The Going Out tab swipes real restaurants near you — with photos, ratings, and prices — so you can match on a place to go.
Can I add my own meals?
Yes. Tap the + to add a dish with a name, an optional photo, and a recipe link — or share a recipe link from another app straight into DateNight. Added meals join the shared Our Meals library for both of you.
Where do meal matches go?
When you both like the same meal it becomes tonight’s pick. Tonight’s picks refresh on a regular cadence so the deck feels fresh, while your saved Our Meals library stays intact. Matched Going Out spots are kept for you to revisit.
How do I set dietary preferences?
Use the filters to narrow the deck by diet and allergies, so every meal that surfaces is one you can both eat.
What does Premium include, and who pays?
Premium unlocks unlimited Going Out rounds and an unlimited meal library, with fresh venues each round. It’s one subscription per couple — only one of you pays, and your partner gets Premium free. Billed through the App Store; cancel anytime. Restore a purchase from the paywall’s “Restore purchases” link.
How do I delete my data?
You can remove meals you’ve added from within the app, and unpair from your partner at any time. To delete data tied to your pairing from our backend, email us and we’ll handle it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
